One Powerful Projection TV Lens, Telescope or Fire Starter

One Projection TV Lens. the picture shows the set of 3, but this auction is for one lens only. This lens can be used singularly for black & white TV applications, or as a set of three in RGB applications. Each lens has a focusing mechanism which is secured by a wing-nut. These are a dead ringer for lenses we used to buy out of Ohio for a 0 each. Anyway, they are a very crisp, distortion free plastic lens with all sorts of possibilities. The measurements are 3" deep, 4.5" diameter fl=50mm. Sekinos p/n SSM-200(50). We sacrificed one to the gods of knowledge as seen in the photos. Dismantle one in less than a minute by unscrewing the wing nut and unhooking two plastic keepers that secure the barrel halves. There are three lenses; the rear element is a plano convex plastic about 3" across, the middle GLASS element is double convex measuring about 3.25" (makes a good pocket firestarter), the front element is concave/convex plastic measuring about 3.6". We think the front and rear elements correct for short fl (about 1.5" from the rear element) and wide angle.
The whole unit makes an excellent firestarter!!!. Years ago we made a target spotting scope for the firing range with a similar lens, an eyepiece and an inverter to make the picture right-side-up (needed for terrestrial applications), an astronomical telescope might be made with a longer piece of PVC tubing and an eyepiece. There are many uses one could find for one or more of these beauties.
